Built by diehard mountain bike riders for the Fairfax community, Splitrock combines a full-service bike shop with a cafe and taproom that has become one of the easiest places in town to gather before a ride, after a ride, or just for a pint with friends.

The cafe serves pizza, sandwiches, and salads alongside an ever-changing list of California microbrews and wine. With about 15 taps, heated indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and mud-and-dirt-friendly seating, it is built for riders and locals alike. Come for a pre-ride meet-up, stay for a post-ride pizza and beer, or treat it as a casual Fairfax hangout even if you never clip in.

The Bike Shop

Bikes are still at the heart of Splitrock. The shop carries top-performing bikes and eBikes from Specialized and Transition, plus parts, accessories, and a service department staffed by experienced mechanics who know Marin trails. Whether you need a tune-up, a new ride, or gear for the next climb, the shop side is as serious as the tap list is fun.
